We have build many small living dwellings over the years, with the goal of the process being to educate and share the methods along the way, and for them to result in offering shelter in their finished form. Although we love the creative process of building, inspiring and helping other to build for themselves is our goal.

After over 2 decades of teaching and building, and still feeling that there are so many hurdles to build simple shelter for ones self, we have turned some of our focus to testing advocacy work on a larger scale. We are asking ourselves what the main hurdles are that make it challenging to build with these materials, and how can we help remove them.

We have a variety of workshops being offered in 2023, including both online and in person. For the third year in a row we will be offering an online course with Quail Springs. We are also planning some hands on courses in Northern CA. Click link below to see details.
